Irish fa una gran confusione e commistione perché miscela teologia e astronomia, che tratta come tale in vari passaggi, ma in altri come studio delle stelle e dei loro moti, e dunque come astronomia. Il risultato è la pressoché totale non leggibilità del testo, dato che non si comprende dove intenda andare a parare. Fa comunque predizioni, più o meno da santone: così, scrive che nel 1722 there will be a Great Change, which will be almost Universal and it will be a Time remarkable for Justice and religious Life. Invece negli anni 1742, 1762, 1782 e 1802 there will be, as tis [sic] thought by Astrologers, great Differences between Kings and Princes and many Afflictions will fall on many Kingdoms and Great Alterations and Changes then-abouts may be espected. But in or about the Years 2000, 2198 and 2397 […] there will be the Greatest Changes that ever were since the Creation. Tra queste ultime a New Earth without Sea. Sono, come accennavo qualificando Irish un santone, predizioni comunque non tratte da valutazioni astrologiche (che peraltro Irish definisce uncertain at best), ma dalla sua fantasia. E penso bastino queste poche note per dare un’idea di quest’opera. Dimenticavo: Irish scrive che le opinioni di Copernico are ridicolous.
