Il quack astrologer è John Gadbury,cui l’anonimo autore dirige una serie di insulti, fra cui a three penny prophet, senza peraltro nominarlo. A parte vari pettegolezzi sulle origini di Gadbury e sui suoi amorous intrigues, l’anonimo sostiene che questi non conosce né the rules of the Ancient nor the true positions of the heavens, but follows his Fancy and sayes what he thinks will please most. L’accusa quindi di incompetenza e di mancanza totale di serietà professionale.
